ABOUT US
Ben Schoenhardt passed away February 27, 2022 from substance use disorder.
Ben was an avid Green Bay Packers fan as well as a loyal Chicago Cubs fan. He loved being active, whether it be golfing, playing baseball, swimming, rock climbing, or anything involving the outdoors. He enjoyed music, photography, and drawing. He cherished the times he spent with his family. One of his greatest pleasures was sharing time with his friends and co-workers, and making memories with them. Ben relished the summertime, especially a glorious, sunny day. He carried the sunshine everywhere he went and with every life he touched. He lit up the room with his beautiful smile and outgoing personality, his genuine concern for others, and his amazing sense of humor. Ben never knew a stranger, and was able to create connections with anyone that he spoke with. His sweet, kind soul carries on through the ones he touched. He will be greatly missed.
After Ben's passing family and friends banded together and knew they wanted to do something to remember Ben but also start a movement to help others who have dealt with substance abuse. May 22, 2022 15 of Ben's closest friends headed out to the Ledges Golf Course and golfed a full 18 holes to celebrate Ben's birthday by doing one of his favorite activities, this day is when Birdies for Ben was born.
Kyle Smith & Adam Viederis shortly after the first outing started to brain storm how to organize and create something larger to celebrate Ben and raise money for those who struggle with substance abuse. The second year set the bar high and we had an overwhelming response of support with 78 golfers and a few sponsors. This year our goal is to exceed last year and continue Birdies for Ben years to come.

Join us at the Birdies for Ben fundraiser in an effort to raise money and awareness for a local organization, Rosecrance, who helps those struggling with substance abuse and mental health. This is a great opportunity to give back and make a difference. Thank you for your support!
At Birdies for Ben, we are dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. We believe in the power of coming together to support those in need, and we are grateful for your help in making our fundraiser a success. Follow us on social media to stay updated on our progress and future events.
